Recent reports are claiming that Elon Musk, the Tesla CEO is in a bit of a trouble right now following the US Presidential elections 2024. Numerous voters are reported to be suing Elon Musk for a fraud over $1 million election giveaway.

According to Bloomberg, an individual named Jacqueline McAferty who is from Arizona eventually claimed that she would not have signed up for the petition or even provided her personal information if she knew that winners were not chosen randomly but were instead selected as spokespeople for the pro- Trump PAC.

The America PAC had gave away $1 million everyday leading up to the US Presidential Elections Day while promoting the initiative as a chance for participants to support free speech and gun rights, noted Bloomberg. Though, the legal team of Elon Musk eventually revealed that the winners were chosen based on their personal stories and suitability to act as public representatives while contradicting the initial portrayal of a random selection process.
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner previously attempted to halt the sweepstakes while labelling it as an ‘unlawful lottery’ which eventually exploited personal information of the voters and at the same time, the lawsuits seek damages and the destruction of personal data collected during the sweepstakes, asserted Bloomberg. Robert Anthony Alvarez, the Michigan plaintiff argued that the selection process was extremely biased against the non-Republicans.
