While specific details from the court documents are currently unavailable, it has been noted that a notice of alternative dispute resolution methods was also filed on the same day. As of now, neither Musk nor Grimes' representatives have issued any comments regarding the matter.
Grimes and Musk, who are known for their unique naming choices for their children, initially welcomed a son named X Æ A-12 and, later, a daughter born via surrogate in 2021 named Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, affectionately referred to as "X" and "Y."
In a recent biography of Elon Musk penned by Walter Isaacson, it was revealed that the couple had a third child, a son named Techno Mechanicus, lovingly nicknamed Tau. The New York Times' review of the book confirmed this revelation.
Notably, last month, Grimes made a public plea on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), which Musk owns, urging him to allow her to see their son. This request was made in response to a post by Isaacson, who had shared a photo of twins Musk had with tech executive Shivon Zilis.
It appears that Grimes' original post has since been deleted. On September 10, she posted an apology, confirming the existence of their third child and expressing understanding for the situation. Grimes emphasized her desire to "de-escalate the narrative" and to keep her children "out of the public eye."
