Stephen "tWitch" Boss, who allegedly committed suicide, began his career as a DJ on “Ellen” in 2014. He remained in that role until the daytime talk show's closure in 2022. In 2020, DeGeneres made him an executive producer of the program.

Later, Boss went on to star in the movies ‘Step Up 3D’ and ‘Magic Mike XXL’. He also competed in Season 4 of "So You Think You Can Dance," where he finished in second place.

Stephen Laurel Boss, aka tWitch was born on September 29, 1982, in Montgomery, Alabama. He became well-known after coming second on the fourth season of "So You Think You Can Dance" in 2008.

He also competed in the same dance show again in 2011, 2012 and 2013. He led the squad as captain in 2015. In 2018 and 2022, he was also a judge for the event.

Page Six reported that tWitch was shot in the head, which led to his death. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said there was "no indication of foul play" and the inquiry was stopped. At the scene of his death, tWitch left a suicide note in which he made oblique allusions to his struggles and conflicts, as per media reports.
