Early Monday morning, Piers tweeted that it was going to be a long and historic day as they gathered to bid adieu to the "greatest ever Monarch". The veteran TV presenter was covering the royal procession and the funeral service for a live broadcast on Fox News. As the royal procession for the Queen’s funeral commenced, Piers tweeted that it was "spine-tingling" and called the deceased ruler the greatest monarch ever.
The royal procession for the Queen’s funeral was led by her eldest child and the new head of the British monarchy, King Charles III. Charles walked behind the Queen’s coffin alongside his wife, Camilla, Queen Consort. Other members of the royal procession included Charles’s siblings—Prince Andrew and Princess Anne, the newly-crowned Prince and Princess of Wales—Will and Kate; and the great-grandchildren of the Queen—Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Sally Nugent and Joy Kay were also present, covering for BBC Breakfast, who could be seen outside the church. The current hosts of Good Morning Britain, Ben Shephard, and Susana Reid, were also among the presenters, along with ITV colleague Kate Garraway.
Her Majesty the Queen, Queen Elizabeth, will be buried at the royal family's usual burying place at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. As the funeral procession progressed, Piers thanked Her Majesty and bid her goodbye in a tweet.
