Emman’s death on October 22, 2025, in Los Angeles has deeply affected her family and followers worldwide.
In a poignant Instagram tribute, Eliana shared childhood photos and expressed her profound grief, writing, “I miss you, Emman, with everything that I am and will ever be. I see you in the sunlight between the tree canopy and in the endless stars I know must be there, hidden by city lights.”
She reflected on the dreams they once shared of building a better world for future generations, saying, “We were supposed to co-create a better world where our children could play together, and we could laugh knowing we fought and struggled to build this for them.”
Eliana’s message was met with heartfelt comments, including one from their father, television personality Kim Atienza, who wrote, “I love you so much. Tight, tight hug, daughter.”
Her activism includes coordinating a 17-day encampment on campus in May 2024 aimed at drawing attention to the crisis in Gaza, which led to her temporary suspension and removal from university housing
