Elden Ring: Nightreign - The Forsaken Hollows DLC announced; Check out the launch date, two new characters as well as new bosses revealed

During the recent State of Play Japan, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware unveiled The Forsaken Hollows, a new DLC expansion for Elden Ring: Nightreign. According to PlayStation's blog post, the expansion introduces formidable new bosses for Nightfarers to face and is set to release on December 4 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Players who purchased the deluxe or collector’s edition of the base game will automatically receive the DLC upon its launch.

The DLC adds two new Third Day bosses, additional field bosses, and a new Shifting Earth mechanic, where the map undergoes dramatic geographical changes. Players can also explore fresh points of interest in Limveld. Additionally, two new Nightfarers join the battle, equipped with unique abilities to confront the challenges of the Night’s Tide.



The DLC will feature two new nightfaring warriors as playable characters - the Scholar and the Undertaker. The Scholar is portrayed as an academic with remarkable mastery of arcane abilities, alongside skills that enhance battlefield awareness. In contrast, the Undertaker boasts exceptional strength and faith, enabling him to engage foes with ruthless efficiency.

Additionally, as per the blog post, players will face two new boss encounters in Limveld, alongside a new Shifting Earth effect called The Great Hollow. This phenomenon creates a massive cavity in Limveld, filled with exotic ruins, temples, sacred towers, and crystals that continuously emit a life-draining miasma.

There’s also an added bonus for early purchasers as players who buy The Forsaken Hollows DLC before its release will also receive the Elden Ring: Nightreign digital artbook and mini soundtrack as downloadable content.
