Weather forecast for 2023 is not so great as global temperatures have been predicted to go "off the chart", according to a Guardian report. Temperature will rise due to El Niño climate phenomenon, scientists have claimed.
In their early predictions, Scientists have warned that there will be return of El Niño in the later part of 2023. This will lead to extreme weather around the world. Global temperature is likely to exceed 1.5 degree Celsius, according to the report.
So far, 2016 was the hottest year since the recordings have begun. El Niño was the major reason behind the sudden rise of temperature in 2016.
El Niño has cooler counterpart in form of La Niña. In last three years, La Niña remains the dominant climate phenomenon.
