Eksab, an Egyptian platform, has received $3 million in seed funding, led by 4DX Ventures, with various other investors. The company claims to make football more exciting and interactive for all fans in both countries through gaming and online community building.

Eksab, founded by Aly Mahmoud in 2018, allows users to pick between free and premium tournaments, make forecasts, and choose line-ups, with winners leading the leaderboard and securing cash and prizes.

Eksab’s future goals

Eksab plans to expand its user base across the Mena area and Africa through this Seed funding round, invest in product development, hire engineering and product talent, and form collaborations with several international football clubs.

According to FIFA, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa have the world's largest fan bases. As followers of various sports, including football, become more interested in virtual versions of their favorite games, start-up businesses from these regions are coming up with fantasy sports platforms.

Eksab has just started churning out content for users to acquire news and updates on their favorite players and teams, allowing them to make better fantasy judgments based on that information.

According to the company's statement, as a long-term goal, Eksab plans to create a versatile platform, which will become an instant option for football players to allow play and earn gaming, content, statistics, non-fungible token0073, digital collectibles, and commodities.

Eksab’s fantasy platform’s insights

Eksab takes a share of fees charged on the platform, especially on premium contests and products. Eksab has approximately 700,000 registered members taking part in daily, weekly, and monthly fantasy and prediction competitions in Egypt. Eksab's paying user base has grown by an average of 60% every month since the start of its premium competitions in 2021.

As the 2022 FIFA World Cup will be held in the Middle East for the first time in November 2022, Eksab, as the region's leading daily fantasy platform, is uniquely positioned to dominate the region's growing football gaming market with the help of various technologies to connect football fans and build gaming communities through the exclusive partnerships with leading clubs in the Middle East and Africa.
