Ed Sheeran breaks down over Jamal Edwards’ death in new teaser for 4-part docuseries ‘The Sum Of It All’

In the teaser for his new Disney+ documentary, The Sum Of It All, Ed Sheeran may be seen crying.
The four-part documentary series tracks Sheeran's journey to prominence as well as his personal challenges and family life.
The emphasis in the teaser was particularly on Jamal Edwards, the creator of SBTV, Sheeran's "best buddy," who passed away too soon.
On February 20, 2022, Edwards, who was awarded an MBE for his contributions to the music industry, passed away at the age of 31.
In the video, Sheeran can be seen crying in the backseat of the car after learning of Edwards' loss. He also thanks Edwards for helping him launch his career.
Sheeran adds, "Loss simply took over my life."
The Shape of You singer's wife Cherry Seaborn also appears in the documentary’s series, stating her husband "hasn't had time to digest and be at peace with his ideas".
Sheeran recently disclosed that Seaborn had a tumor diagnosis when she was carrying their second kid.
"Beginning in 2022, a series of events had an effect on my life, my mental health, and ultimately how I felt about art and music. I use songwriting as therapy." Earlier this month, the artist announced his upcoming album, Subtract, saying, "It helps me make sense of my sentiments."
Brenda Edwards, Edwards' mother, recently said that Sheeran spent a week "looking after" her family after her son died.
Everyone has been so nice and supportive, she added, and he was always organizing and taking care of whatever we needed.

Sheeran said on his Instagram page following Edwards' passing that he "would not be here without him" in a homage to the MBE.
He declared, "We are all witnessing his power, and he will keep shining in the dark. A star's light shines for millions of years after they die."
