​Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert 'suffers broken arm', likely to miss time

Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert is likely to miss time due to a fracture in his right forearm, media reports said on Sunday.

The 28-year-old will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of his injury.

Goedert was injured after Cowboys safety Markquese Bell twisted his arm on the tackle in the third quarter. The Philadelphia’s star tight end exited the field and was replaced by Jack Stoll for the Sunday's game. He is a candidate to go on injured reserve, the reports added.


Before suffering the injury, the 28-year-old had three catches for 50 yards in the Eagles’ 28-23 win. He immediately sought X-rays after what is perceive as a dirty tackle by the Dallas second-year safety.

In this season, Goedert -a second-round pick in the 2018 draft - has 38 receptions for 410 yards and two touchdowns.

The Philadelphia Eagles have Stoll, Grant Calcaterra and Albert Okwuegbunam on the roster behind Goedert.

Philadelphia will be on bye in Week 10 and will face Kansas City in Week 11. Stoll is likely to replace Goedert as Eagles' tight end for the duration of his absence, however, Calcaterra (concussion) and Okwuegbunam are also likely to get increased playing time after Goedert's exit.

Goedert missed five games last season due to fracture in his left shoulder.
