According to the Associated Press, sources familiar with the matter said Philadelphia’s appeal was denied. They spoke on condition of anonymity since the league has not publicly announced the fine. The NFL declined to comment.
DiSandro serves as senior adviser to GM Howie Roseman, chief security officer, and gameday coaching operations executive. League rules prohibit cellphones and smartwatches in locker rooms, coaches’ booths, and team bench areas. DiSandro was spotted using his phone in the bench area, the sources said.
Last season, the league fined the Eagles $100,000 and barred DiSandro from the sideline for the remainder of the year after his involvement in a Dec. 3 altercation with 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw.
The latest fine was first reported by NFL insider Derrick Gunn, reported AP.
