Jalen Hurts threw for 183 yards and a touchdown as the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles edged the Green Bay Packers 10-7 in a clash of division leaders on Monday. The win marked Philadelphia’s third straight, improving their record to 7-2, while Green Bay slipped to 5-3-1, falling behind Detroit and Chicago (both 6-3) in the NFC Central standings.

After a scoreless first half - the NFL’s first since 2023 - the Eagles opened the third quarter with a 10-play, 50-yard drive capped by Jake Elliott’s 39-yard field goal. In the fourth, Hurts connected with Saquon Barkley on a 41-yard pass before finding DeVonta Smith for a 36-yard touchdown, giving Philadelphia a 10-0 lead with just over 10 minutes remaining.

The Packers responded with an 11-play, 75-yard drive, capped by Josh Jacobs’ six-yard touchdown run, trimming the deficit to 10-7. However, Green Bay’s hopes faded on the final play when a poor snap spoiled Brandon McManus’s 64-yard field goal attempt, sealing the Eagles’ hard-fought victory.

Hurts completed 15 of 26 passes for 183 yards and a touchdown, while Barkley rushed 22 times for 60 yards. Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love went 20 of 36 for 176 yards, while Jacobs had 74 rushing yards. The Eagles finished with a 294-261 advantage in total offense.
