Dwayne Johnson makes history as first wrestler honored with wax statue at Musée Grévin in Paris

Dwayne Johnson has become the first wrestler to find a place at the renowned Musée Grévin in Paris. The wax replica of the star known for his roles in movies like Moana, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and Black Adam was unveiled to the public this week.

This prestigious addition to the museum's collection was made possible through the "Grévin Awards" competition, initiated by the museum back in March 2022.

In this unique contest, internet users were invited to cast their votes for their favorite international star to be featured at the Grévin Museum.


Johnson's popularity in the world of wrestling and Hollywood secured his victory in the competition, with a total of 48% of the votes. This triumph positions him alongside renowned figures like Leonardo DiCaprio in the Salle des Colonnes.

The list of contenders in the competition was impressive, featuring the likes of Ariana Grande, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Dua Lipa, Elon Musk, Selena Gomez, Lupita Nyong'o, Chris Pratt, and Margot Robbie.
