Drake reacts to Serena Williams’ Super Bowl appearance, shares photo with her agent

Rapper Drake has responded to his former partner Serena Williams’ cameo during his long-time rival Kendrick Lamar's halftime performance at Super Bowl LIX over the last weekend.

During the February 9 event, the 'Not Like Us' rapper made Williams dance to his single 'Crip Walk' as the tennis legend was seen a small cameo. This left many of Drake's fans shocked.

Drake's response

The rapper recently took to his 'finsta' account, @plottttwistttttt, and shared a photograph of himself with Williams’ longtime agent Jill Smoller.


According Capital Xtra, the image was taken in 2015 at the Wimbledon. At the tennis event, Drake was presented and cheered for his former partner.

The caption along with the photograph read, "You’re trying to hook up with her or what?"

The post from Drake's burner Instagram account has received more than 40,000 likes, drawing mixed reactions in the comments section.

"Bro seems so unbothered by that halftime performance," one person wrote.

Currently, Drake is on tour in Australia as part of his Anita Max Win tour. It commenced on February 4 in Perth and will go on till March 16.

Drake slams Williams and SZA

According to Radar Online, Drake was quick enough to address Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show, which also featured SZA, during one of his performances in Australia as he looked visibly emotional.

Drake addressed the audience, reflecting on the frustration of investing time, energy, money, and emotions into someone, only to have it taken for granted and wasted.

Thereafter, he went on to perform his song, You Broke My Heart.

His fans on social media later linked the meltdown to the Super Bowl halftime show, that featured his exes — Serena Williams and SZA — sharing stage with Lamar, who has been embroiled in a brutal rap feud with Drake since a long time.
