Drake has placed a massive $300,000 bet on World No. 1 Jannik Sinner to win the US Open, a bet that would return an estimated payout of $507,000 if the Italian claims his fifth Grand Slam title and second in New York. The 38-year-old rapper, known for his high-profile bets and frequent misfires, shared the betting slip on social media Tuesday afternoon.

The so-called 'Drake Curse' has haunted athletes in the past, with Drake losing $210,000 last year after backing Taylor Fritz to beat Sinner in the US Open final. According to a betting-tracking site, the rapper is down $115,000 overall in tennis wagers, though he did successfully pick Sinner to win the Australian Open in January.

Sinner, meanwhile, looks in fine form. The 24-year-old breezed past Alexander Bublik 6-1, 6-1, 6-1 in the fourth round. With the win, Sinner notched his 25th consecutive Grand Slam victory on his favored surface, looking composed and in full control throughout.

Sinner, who is looking for his second US Open and fifth major, now faces compatriot Lorenzo Musetti in the quarterfinals Wednesday night, where he enters as the heavy favorite.
