DoorDash users could score up to $2,500 — are you eligible for this listing settlement?
DoorDash users could receive payments of up to $2,500 from a “restaurant listing” settlement. The settlement comes after DoorDash reached an agreement with the City of Chicago. DoorDash was accused of listing Chicago restaurants on its platform without contracts or permission. The settlement only applies to Chicago-based restaurants that have nine or fewer branches under the same name.

These restaurants must have been listed on DoorDash or Caviar without a contract between August 27, 2019 and November 14, 2025. Businesses that currently have a contract with DoorDash or Caviar will not qualify for the payment, as stated by The Sun. The lawsuit claims both companies violated Chicago’s rules for third-party delivery services.

Settlement payment details

DoorDash and Caviar did not admit any wrongdoing but agreed to settle the case. The companies agreed to pay an undisclosed amount to resolve the allegations. Eligible restaurants can receive a share of the settlement fund. Payments can go up to $2,500, depending on how many businesses apply. The exact amount each restaurant gets will vary based on the number of claimants, officials said.

How to claim money

To get the money, restaurants must submit an attestation form confirming they meet the requirements. The deadline to submit the form is March 30, 2026. DoorDash plans to send payments by the end of June 2026. This news comes as another payout opportunity is also available for Americans, according to The Sun. A separate settlement offers automatic payments of $5,000 if claimants meet the April 10 deadline.

Data breach settlement

The $2.45 million payment is connected to Panda Restaurant Group. The company agreed to settle claims about a data breach that happened in 2023. The lawsuit said private information of current and former employees may have been exposed. An unknown person may have accessed details like names, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers. Panda Restaurant Group did not say it did anything wrong. But the company agreed to pay money to settle the case and avoid more legal trouble.
