Donald Trump's third impeachment proceedings launched by Democratic Representative Shri Thanedar; will the President lose his job?

Democratic leader Shri Thanedar wants to remove Donald Trump from the position of President by starting a new impeachment process. He says Trump has done many wrong things.

House Representative Shri Thanedar has gone ahead to force a vote on impeaching US President Donald Trump, after he declared his seven articles of impeachment as privileged.

Creating an uproar amongst his fellow democrats, even though reports suggesting that Thanedar's motion has hardly found any supporters within his own party, the Democrats introduced the motion on Tuesday afternoon.

In line with the usual practice, House Republicans will now need to bring up the resolution by Thursday, with reports suggesting they might table it to effectively kill it. The angst among Democrats, the reports said, was mainly because the resolution doesn't stand much chance of going anywhere, with Republicans commanding a majority in both the House and the Senate.

Despite few takers in his party, Thanedar came out all guns blazing against the POTUS, currently on a 'deal making' trip to Saudi Arabia, while introducing the resolution on the House floor. He accused Trump of bribery, corruption, 'tyranny', not abiding by Supreme Court rulings and committing crime 'since day one'.

He also attempted to rally support for his decision on social media handle X.

"It's time for us to take action. I call on my colleagues from both sides of the aisle to support my Articles of Impeachment, stand up for this country, defend their oath, and protect the American people. It's never the wrong time to stand up for our Constitution." Thanedar posted.

However, many of the Democrats told news website Axios that Thanedar's move was utterly 'selfish', aimed at securing support for himself rather than the party.

Thanedar, however, said in the House on Tuesday that he was just performing what he considered his constitutional duty, and wasn't worried about how many of his colleagues 'supported' him.

The attempted impeachment of President Donald Trump was undertaken twice during his first term, with both resolutions falling flat in the Senate. Earlier in May, Trump had written on his Truth Social account about reports regarding Democrats thinking of attempting another impeachment proceeding against him, labelling them 'lunatics'.

According to reports, House Republicans are expected to table the 29-page resolution by Thursday.
