President Donald Trump has released a new promotional video on Truth Social, pairing an excerpt from his address to a joint session of Congress with an unlikely soundtrack: Dr. Dre’s 1999 hit, “The Next Episode.”

The clip opens with Trump stating, “The media and our friends in the Democrat Party kept saying we needed new legislation… we must have legislation to secure the border. But it turned out that all we really needed was a new president.” As he delivers the line, Republicans in the chamber rise to give a standing ovation. Immediately afterward, the song’s signature muted guitar riff kicks in, incongruously underscoring the moment.



The instrumental track, which features Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg, is known for its notorious outro line, “smoke weed every day,” and has been streamed over 1.2 billion times on Spotify. The juxtaposition of Trump’s speech with the hip-hop classic quickly drew attention across social media, with users both mocking and praising the surreal mashup.
