Newsweek noted that the network’s shift was in accordance with an average of eight polls which were conducted since early September where Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump led in seven polls and Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris led in only one.

According to Fox News, six of the seven competitive battlegrounds are toss-ups which have eventually moved the three key states in the ‘Blue Wall’ namely, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania from lean-Democrats to toss-up status. Newsweek reported that this certain change actually reflects the very close nature of the US Presidential race with Donald Trump having won all seven battleground states in the year 2016 and US President Joe Biden in the year 2020.
Newsweek asserted that in spite of the numerous challenges, US Vice President Kamala Harris retains a viable path to victory by winning in the other battleground swing states while the US Presidential elections 2024 is eventually shaping up to be one of the closest in history.
