Donald Trump today cast his vote early for the November 3 US midterm elections. President Trump arrived with First Lady Melania Trump at a polling station in Palm Beach, Florida to vote early on Saturday. President Trump is in the midst of a nationwide campaign blitz ahead of the November midterm elections, holding near-daily rallies to boost turnout for Republicans who are fighting to keep control of Congress.

Trump's travel map signals just how difficult it will be for Republicans to retain control of Congress, with the president forced to play defense deep in conservative territory.

Trump has traveled twice to Texas for Republican Senate nominee Ken Paxton, campaigned for Republican Senate incumbent Roger Marshall in Kansas and made two stops in Ohio for Senator Jon Husted. Trump also rallied for Republicans in competitive races in Alaska, Iowa, Montana and South Carolina. He is set to visit Mississippi on Monday.

Notably absent from Trump's travels so far with less than two weeks until Election Day: Michigan, Maine, Minnesota and New Hampshire – also home to tight Senate races. He is soon poised to hit some of those locations. He is scheduled travel to Michigan on Sunday and has said he also plans to go to Maine.

Earlier on Friday, US President Donald Trump used a campaign rally in Florida, where Cuban Americans are a potent voting bloc, to vow to address his concerns about Cuba once the Iran war is settled.

In a 90-minute speech in Fort Myers, Trump repeated more military action against Iran may lie ahead as he tries to address the causes of a spike in oil prices that has put Republicans on the defensive ahead of the November 3 midterm elections.

With an eye toward the senior Americans who live in Florida, Trump said he planned to spend $250 million to hire at least 5,000 new nurses in elder care facilities all across America.

While the Iran war has no end in sight, Trump talked tough about Cuba, part of a pattern of putting pressure on the communist government there after ousting the leader of Venezuela early this year.

President Trump, who won 68 per cent of the Cuban American vote in Florida in the 2024 election, said American naval forces from Iran will stop at Cuba on the way home.
