Donald Trump to Riccardo Mazzucchelli: Tale of Ivana Trump and her four ex-husbands

Ivana Trump, the first wife of former US president Donald Trump, passed away on July 14. She was found dead in her flat in New York. Ivana was single at the time of her demise even as she had been married four times before that. Ivana's personal life always hogged limelight.

Ivana was very vocal about her relationship status, saying she’s had many boyfriends but isn’t looking to remarry. She passed away nine months after her ex-husband, Rossano Rubicondi, died. Ivana reportedly took care of Rossano till the very end.

Cold War marriage

Ivana was a professional skier and also an Olympiad alternate. Her first husband was her fellow athlete, Alfred Winklmayr. According to her lawyer, the couple did not marry for love but to be free from Ivana’s native Czechoslovakia.

Thus, the lawyer deemed it a "Cold War marriage" and confirmed that they never lived together or even consummated it. After getting her Austrian passport in 1972, Ivana dissolved her marriage the following year.

Meeting with Donald Trump
She met Donald Trump after that, in 1976, when she worked as a model. After hitting it off with him, she married him the next year and had three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric Trump.

Four years after Eric’s birth, Ivana split from Donald due to his affair with Marla Maples. After her death, Donald Trump took to social media to write a post in her honour, calling her a wonderful and unique woman who led an inspirational life.

Bitter married life
In 1991, Ivana met Riccardo Mazzucchelli, an Italian entrepreneur. She turned down his proposal at first but accepted it three years later. She married Riccardo in 1995 but divorced him after 20 months.

Ivana sued Riccardo for $15 million as he breached a confidentiality agreement, which was later settled out of court. In an interview, Riccardo said that he loved her and treated her better than Donald Trump. In 2017, Riccardo passed away.

Fourth wedding
Finally, Ivana married Rossano Rubicondi in 2008. However, the marriage to the actor ended the following year, and for the following decade, the couple were on and off and also appeared on a reality show in 2018, Dancing with the Stars, as contestants.

The couple split in 2019, again as Ivana thought their relationship had run its course. After the passing away of Rossano last year, Ivana was devastated. It was reported that she took care of him till the very end before he passed away at 49 due to cancer.
