Dolly Parton pays musical tribute to late husband with new single If You Hadn't Been There
This is Dolly Parton's first new single in two years. Parton posted her song shortly after she shared a tribute to her late husband Carl Thomas Dean on Instagram. Dean passed away earlier this week. The couple had been married for almost six decades.

Parton took to her Instagram handle on Friday to announce her new song If Your Hadn't Been There, calling it a tribute to her late husband. This was the 9 to 5 singer’s first new single in two years. The post featured a throwback photo of the couple from their young days. "Carl and I fell in love when I was 18 and he was 23, and like all great love stories, they never end. They live in memory and in song, and I dedicate this to him. ‘If You Hadn’t Been There’," she captioned her post.
Dolly, 79, crooned about their "ups and downs" in a moving new song where she also thanked him for always being by her side and loving her deeply.

The song, with its sentimental yet uplifting melody, carries a positive vibe, despite being released during a melancholic time."They live in memory and in song, and I dedicate this to him," she added before referring to the song.
