Gwyneth Paltrow, now 49, believed she wasn't adamant enough to get her father's cancer removed. She said that her father, Bruce, smoked for a long time and drank vodka every day when he returned home from work. It led to some learning for the Oscar-winning actor Gwyneth.

The Cancer
During the interview, she said she wasn't adamant enough to get rid of her father's cancer and clean up his diet. She believed that she could have been stronger and extended his life. She believed that she was in denial for a long time (much of his illness), and the thought of life without her father was not fathomable to her.


Gwyneth Paltrow admitted that she changed her lifestyle after looking at environmental toxins following her father's death. She became aware of the environmental toxins and how food affects one's health. She told ET Canada that's how she started on this journey.

She struggled as she had to process the loss of her father and felt like she had a heart attack every night when she was in London. She admitted that she didn't call the emergency services because she didn't know the emergency number was 999 in England.

Absence from Social Media
The Hollywood actor was absent from social media and recently broke her silence on Instagram. She admitted that staying away from social media made her feel more present and less uneasy. She said she felt pretty good staying away from social media and informed her 8.1 million followers.

She feels good mentally when she stays away from her phone for a week. She feels less anxiety and more presence. She founded Goop in 2008, a lifestyle and wellness brand. It had started as an email newsletter but later turned into a website and now into an e-commerce website.
