American automobile company Dodge has unveiled its latest car, the Charger EV, which looks similar to its popular Charger car. The latest version is touted to be more powerful and louder than the original one, which is expected to be discontinued the following year.

On Wednesday, Dodge unveiled its latest version of the Charger at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac. The unveiling coincided with the Dodge Speed Week event being held in Michigan. The new Charger version is an electric car with similar looks and sounds to the gas-fueled Charger version. While the new EV will be available in the market in the coming years, the gas-fueled version is expected to be discontinued next year.

While the company had been mentioning the launch of its new EV since last year's summer, the latest unveiling gave consumers a peek into what's developing. The Stellantis brand mentioned that its Dodge Charger Daytona SRT is not a mere exercise in design. It would be a placeholder for the production model, which would be launched in 2024.

It is unclear about how much the unveiled concept would match the actual production. However, a spokesperson from the company confirmed that the production version would closely match the version unveiled recently.

Though the price of the newest version was not disclosed, the company did showcase its design and specifications. The unveiled design and specs had some semblance to the original Dodge Charger.

According to the company, its new EV would revolutionize the EV segment in three main aspects. First, an R-wing at the front serves as an aerodynamic pass-through. Second, the car has a multi-speed transmission and electro-mechanical shifting. Lastly, the exhaust can reach 126 decibels. Adding an exhaust in an EV is a unique concept that would make the newest version as loud as the previous Hellcat one.

The four-time Formula 1 champion has an SUV named after him, because why not? Back in his RedBull days, Infiniti was one of the many brands that got a spot on the F1 livery, and with Vettel winning four titles back to back, the brand gave him a V8 SUV, made just for him.

The last relic of Vettel’s tumultuous Ferrari career, the F430 is a future classic, boasting a 4.3-litre naturally-aspirated V8, placed bang in the middle. With non-turbocharged mid-engine supercars all but a rarity now, the German will want to hang on to this.

Among the car's specs, an 800v propulsion system gives the EV higher speeds than the previous Hellcat. The car also boasts a standard all-wheel drive and a PowerShot button on the steering wheel to boost the extra power.

Though the new car has pulled its design from the previous version, it has a lot of new elements that give it a unique look. These elements include the aerodynamic shape, R-wing, and the glass roof, to name a few. Inside the car, you can find a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 16-inch instrument cluster, and an 8*3-inch HUD (Head-up Display).
