Doctor Who final episode airs tonight, watch sneak peek of Jodie Whittaker’s anniversary special

Tonight's special anniversary episode of Doctor Who, the final to star Jodie Whittaker as the titular character, will air on television.

The 90-minute "Special Episode," titled "The Power of the Doctor," will mark the 60th anniversary of the programme. The episode will allow viewers to bid goodbye to the thirteenth doctor as well as welcome Ncuti Gatwa, who will take on the famous doctor role for the first time as the show's new lead.





The 50th anniversary special of David Tenant, a fan favourite, included Billie Piper as his companion Rose and previous anniversary specials had pulled out all the stops with thrilling plotlines and the reappearance of beloved characters. Fans are confident that other intriguing cameos are being withheld because a few characters for the most recent special have already been revealed.



In addition to the passing of the torch between the thirteenth and fourteenth doctors in this episode, David Tennant, the season's Doctor, and Catherine Tate, their companion, will both appear.
