‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Specials: Release Date


The first special, "The Star Beast," will premiere on November 25, followed by "Wild Blue Yonder" on December 2 and "The Giggle" on December 9. These specials will see the return of the 14th Doctor (David Tennant) and Donna Temple-Noble (Catherine Tate) as they face the Toymaker, portrayed by Neil Patrick Harris in his Doctor Who debut.

New cast members include Yasmin Finney as Rose Temple-Noble, Miriam Margolyes as the voice of the Meep, and Ruth Madeley as Shirley Anne Bingham. Returning characters include Jacqueline King as Sylvia Noble, Karl Collins as Shaun Temple, and Jemma Redgrave as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart.

Produced by Bad Wolf and BBC Studios, the show is helmed by showrunner Russell T. Davies, who also writes and serves as an executive producer.
