The remake of Disney's live-action remake of The Little Mermaid gets more than one million dislikes on YouTube. Earlier, its lead actress Halle Bailey was subjected to racist backlash and trolls concerning her casting.

The Little Mermaid's live-action remake gained a wide audience review and captured the hearts of devoted Disney fans. Initially, the movie trailer drop was much hyped and anticipated. But, just two days since its release, the trailer has already got more than one and a half million dislikes. The decrease in the hype and increase in backlash was mainly because of the Twitter trolls.
