A dead body was reported around 6:40 p.m. along North World Drive, according to News 6 Click Orlando. EMS and police were seen at the Contemporary Resort and monorail service through the building was temporarily suspended.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office told Click Orlando that the incident was an "apparent suicide."

Multiple sheriff's units and emergency vehicles responded to the scene. Crime scene tape was placed around a service entrance. Videos showing law enforcement activity at the location surfaced on social media.
Neither Disney nor local authorities have confirmed additional details regarding the incident or released victim identification.
Social media reports claim person struck by Disney monorail
Some witness accounts stated a person fell onto the monorail tracks and was hit by a monorail, though details remain unclear, according to reports.Unverified social media posts claim an individual either fell or jumped onto the monorail tracks and was struck by an oncoming train. Some posts also claim a body was seen being removed from the scene.
The monorail observation deck was closed following the incident.
Previous fatal incidents at Disney's Contemporary Resort

Staff directed guests to exit the park and recommended taking the monorail to return to the Transportation and Ticket Center, where most guests had parked. The family decided to take the ferry back since they had arrived via monorail earlier that day.
Once on board, the family split up. Deanna and one daughter went to the upper deck, while her husband and their other daughter remained on the lower level.

"The boat hit with full speed, I mean, it went full speed into this barrier," she told PEOPLE.
