Storyline

The series is based on Renée Knight's best-selling novel. Cate Blanchett plays journalist Catherine Ravenscroft, known for exposing others' misdeeds. She receives a novel from an unknown author and discovers she is the main character, with her darkest secrets laid bare.

Catherine seeks to uncover the writer's identity while facing her past. This journey threatens her life and relationships with her husband, Robert, played by Sacha Baron Cohen, and their son, Nicholas, played by Kodi Smit-McPhee.
