Food and Drug Administration (FDA) made an announcement where it clarified that Lunds and Byerly’s has recalled its Lone Star Dip as a result of a potential mold growth contamination. According to Fox Business, near about 500 containers of the refrigerated Lone Star Dip were reported to be affected which were mostly sold in the Twin Cities area.

Affected Lone Star Dip containers were containers of 12 oz. with UPC 18169-74197 carrying an expiry date of October 15 or October 17. Fox Business reported that store employees were the very first people who reported the concern to Lunds and Byerly’s Quality Assurance Team following which the recall was initiated.

Until now, there has been not a single report of illnesses in connection to this mold growth issue. Lunds and Byerly’s have issued an advisory urging the customers to either destroy the already purchased dips or to return the dip in any of its stores for a full refund and no receipt is required even, noted Fox Business.

Lone Star Dip of Lunds and Byerly’s is pretty tasty and famous dip which is being made of cream cheese, salsa, tarragon and fresh lemon juice and is a great accompaniment for tortilla chips and sandwiches.
