Diddy in hot water again: Prison release date pushed back over rule violations
Sean “P. Diddy” Combs will continue to be behind the bars longer than expected, as his prison release date has allegedly been postponed. The rapper and music mogul, who was primarily set to finish his sentence on May 8, 2028, will currently be released on June 4, 2028, as per the updated prison records.

Possible Rule Violations Behind the Delay

While the Bureau of Prisons has not confirmed the exact cause for the delay, the timing seems to align with reports that Diddy reportedly violated many prison rules at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute in New Jersey. The Bad Boy Records founder, 56, is serving a little more than four years following conviction last month on two charges of transportation for prostitution.

As per the sources, Diddy’s reported infractions are participating in a three-person phone call, which is strictly prohibited by Bureau of Prisons (BOP) policies. Such calls are barred to prevent possible coordination of unlawful action.

Three-Way Call Controversy

CBS alleged that Diddy reportedly spoke with an unknown woman on November 3, talking about visitation plans for that weekend. The woman then reportedly added another man to the call. Documents received by the outlet state that Diddy was unaware of the policies and that the woman was actually his lawyer, while the man handled his public relations.

The trio were reportedly “discussing drafting a statement to be sent to the New York Times after Diddy approved it.” Prison authorities later advised that he lose 90 days of phone privileges and 90 days of commissary access, though it continues to be unclear whether the punishment was implemented.

Speculations of Other Infractions

Earlier, TMZ alleged that Diddy had been in “trouble with prison officials” for reportedly consuming “homemade alcohol” while imprisoned. His representative, however, dismissed those claims, assuring that he was concentrating on self-improvement and adapting to life behind bars.

Diddy’s spokesperson cited to Page Six last week that the Grammy-winning producer was “in his first week at FCI Fort Dix [after being transferred from Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center] and … focused on adjusting, working on himself and doing better each day.”

The rep further said: “As with any high-profile individual in a new environment, there will be many rumors and exaggerated stories throughout his time there, most of them untrue. We ask that people give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth.”
