White House give questions to journalist
Was Thursday's press conference addressed by President Joe Biden was stage-managed? Was a teleprompter used? The Democrat contender spoke with reporters at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The Wall Street Journal has reported that Biden read his opening remarks through a teleprompter before embarking on a wide-ranging 50-minute question-and-answer session with reporters. Except for a gaffe, Joe Biden looked comfortable replying to the questions of reporters assembled there, who quizzed him on subjects ranging from NATO to Ukraine War to the 2024 US Presidential Election.

Biden's interview edited

According to the reputed news outlet, Progressive talk-radio network Civic Media made two edits to its interview with Biden on his campaign before the broadcast was aired. Defending its decision, the Wisconsin-based network said it stood by the host Earl Ingram. The interview was conducted on July 3 and aired on July 4. The radio network later also uploaded full interview available online without edits.

Joe Biden's interview arranged

It has also been reported that the White House gave the questions to WURD Radio host Andrea Lawful-Sanders before she interviewed the president. The Philadelphia-based radio station has claimed to have sacked the host.

Questions given to reporter

Confirming the entire incident, Sara M. Lomax, President and CEO of WURD Radio, said in a statement that the first post-debate interview with President Joe Biden was arranged and negotiated independently by WURD Radio host Andrea Lawful-Sanders without knowledge, consultation, or collaboration with WURD management.

Admitting it, Lawful-Sanders told CNN that she was given eight questions, and she took four of them. Defending her decision, she said that these questions were relevant to the news of the day. She quizzed Joe Biden about this debate performance as well as what he'd delivered for Black Americans.
