Donald Trump stimulus check news

Stimulus check October 2025: If you’re expecting a new stimulus check before the end of 2025, you may have to keep waiting as recent rumors claiming Americans would receive a $2,000 stimulus payment in October have been debunked by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), as per a report. The agency warned that such false claims often lead to phishing scams designed to steal personal and financial information, as per The Mirror report.

Trump’s Proposed Stimulus Check: What Really Happened

The speculation reportedly stemmed from an earlier idea floated by US president Donald Trump. Earlier this year, he suggested that the government could issue a stimulus payment funded by revenue from tariffs, as per the report. At the time, Trump, alongside former DOGE leader Elon Musk, mentioned the possibility of checks worth up to $5,000, according to Axios.

However, the proposal was never formally introduced in Congress, and no official updates have followed, as per The Mirror report.
