Did Oprah Winfrey charge a hefty fee of $1 million to share the stage with Kamala Harris? TV presenter breaks silence, here's what she said
Oprah Winfrey denied being paid $1 million for a Kamala Harris campaign event, saying she received no personal fee. Her company, Harpo Productions, confirmed that the payment was for event costs rather than personal compensation.

When questioned about whether she received payment for her endorsement by a TMZ reporter on Monday, the TV personality responded that she was paid nothing, ever.
Last week, the Washington Examiner revealed that Harris's campaign had paid Winfrey's media company, Harpo Productions, for a live, star-studded interview in October, as quoted in a report by The Independent.

However, it stated that Oprah Winfrey was at no point during the campaign paid a personal fee, nor did she receive a fee from Harpo.
Jennifer Lopez, Julia Roberts, Chris Rock, Ben Stiller, and Meryl Streep all made appearances at the glitzy town hall with Oprah. In less than 12 hours, the rally garnered over 1.2 million views on Harris's campaign YouTube channel.
Harris stated that she owned a gun and would shoot anyone who broke into her home during Winfrey's interview with her about abortion rights, gun violence, and her presidential plans.
