British comedian Joe Lycett has been a fan favourite for his work. Before the beginning of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar this winter, the comedian took to social media to challenge David Beckham.

Beckham has taken up a lucrative role to become the ambassador of the game in Qatar despite their problematic human rights record. Lycett challenged Beckham a week before the games to renounce his deal with the hosts.

The star has signed a £10m deal with Qatar. The country was voted as one of the worst places in the world to be gay. Addressing Beckham, Lycett gave an ultimatum asking him to end the deal. He said if Beckham ends his relationship with Qatar, he will donate £10m of his own money to charities that support gays in football.
