What exactly went wrong with Foxx' health?

According to reports about the Netflix special, Foxx talked about the struggles surrounding his health, that even saw him go through a brain-bleed after suffering from a stroke. According to Foxx, he was having bad headaches initially, after which he decided to just take aspirin and let things be. However, it was later that he realized that he was suffering through a medical emergency, and immediately got himself admitted for thorough medical screening but he does not remember anything that happened in those 20 days before he decided to get the aspirin.

Family kept Foxx away from the limelight after stroke

Only after getting admitted at the Piedmont Hospital, his friends came to know from doctors that it was a brain bleed that Foxx was going through and surgery was needed at the earliest, or his life would end. He fought through this severe danger after a surgery, and regained consciousness soon after. He was however, kept out of the public eye by his family, who insisted that it was not the time that cameras should be focusing on him.
