The “Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred” expansion comes just over a year after the release of “Diablo IV” in June 2023. The new expansion introduces players to a jungle environment called “Nahantu.” This area is filled with new enemies and storylines for players to explore. The downloadable content (DLC) requires the original game “Diablo IV” to be installed.

Pricing and Editions

The expansion is available in three editions. The standard edition costs $39.99 and includes the base expansion. The deluxe edition, priced at $59.99, comes with additional features like armors, skins and animal companions. The ultimate edition, costing $89.99, offers all deluxe features plus extra tokens and in-game currency.

Platforms and Release Date

The content is downloadable for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC users from Tuesday, October 8, 2024. Players who already have the base game on Xbox Game Pass must purchase the DLC separately if they want to play.

New Features

“Vessel of Hatred” brings a new jungle-based setting with unique enemies. Players will face monstrous insects and corrupted humanoids in this environment. In addition, the expansion introduces a new character class, the “Spiritborn.” This character draws power from ancient jungle warriors to defeat enemies. The game also includes a new endgame dungeon that allows players to engage in online cooperative play with others.
