Bungie has set May 6 as the launch date for Rite of the Nine in Destiny 2. This new event arrives after Heresy Act 3 launched on April 1. Players will have until July 15 to complete challenges and earn rewards before the new expansion Frontiers begins.

Guardians will return to The Third Spire, which first appeared during Trials of the Nine in Destiny 2 Year 1. This social space will act as the central hub for the event. Players can collect bounties and select weapon attunements from The Emissary, the event’s vendor.

Dungeons

During the event, players will revisit three existing dungeons. Each dungeon has new loot tables with updated weapons. The three dungeons included are Prophecy, Spire of the Watcher and Ghosts of the Deep.

These dungeons will rotate weekly. It is not yet confirmed if weapons will drop universally or remain tied to their dungeon of origin.
