The US elections 2024's polling phase is now over, with Donald Trump destined to be the next US President after Joe Biden. Meanwhile, the Senate and the House are also being captured by the Republicans, which means that the coming four years will be 'ruled by the Reds'. Meanwhile, ace US pollster Nate Silver has analyzed the US election results and claimed that there is at least some 'good news' for Kamala Harris and the Democrats, that is hidden in the fine print.

Nate Silver's newsletter carries 'good news' for Kamala Harris

In his latest newsletter, Silver has extensively explained that he did not see the Democrat losses in the swing states and other US regions to be as bad as he had expected on election night. Moreover, he is of the opinion that the biggest factor that played a role in the Harris loss, was Biden's delay in moving out of the Presidential race, something that did not give the reigning VP enough time to prepare her defenses and attack the Republican stronghold.

Moreover, Democrats will end up lessening their 'structural disadvantages' in the House, Senate and Electoral College, due to their lack in majority in all of these places after the US elections, which is a good sign, according to Silver.

In terms of the overall structure of the elections, Silver felt that this was more of an ordinary election, even though the hype around it was at its peak in the last couple of months, based on the political intensity and uncertainty.
