The mischievous minions have resided in the hearts of billions. Over the years, the Despicable Me franchise has witnessed many changes in its movies. Its fourth movie Despicable Me 4 is going to hit the silver screen next year. Chris Renaud is the director of the film, with co-director Patrick Delage. Mike White is the screenplay writer, known for movies such as Pitch Perfect 3, The White Lotus, and others.

When is Despicable Me 4 going to release?

As per Universal, Despicable Me 4 will be released on July 3, 2024, during summer. The third film – Despicable Me 3 was released in 2017. The fifth addition to the Despicable Me franchise – Minions: The Rise of Gru was released in 2022. It was a sequel to the 2015 Minions film.

The cast of Despicable Me 4 includes Steve Carell returning to give a voice to Gru. Carell is known for Asteroid City, Beautiful Boy, Vice, Welcome to Marwen, and Irresistible.

He is also going to be a part of the cast of Imaginary Friends which is a new movie directed by John Krasinski. Pierre Coffin, Kristen Wing, Steve Coogan, and Miranda Cosgrove will be returning as Mel, Lucy Wilde, Silas Ramsbottom, and Margo.

The film will show the Anti-Villain League once more. There is no confirmation as such about the return of Agnes and Edith, Margo’s younger sisters and the adopted daughters of Gru. Nev Scharrel and Dana Gaier gave a voice to their characters in the third film of the franchise.
