Derby County approaches Paul Warne, asks Liam Rosenior to step down as manager
Derby County Football Club approached Rotherham United to part with Paul Warne, rumored to have been signed up for Derby County.

Back to the story about Liam Rosenior and he was told to step down, but the fans seem to be in two minds about him. Some feel he needed more time. But as far as Paul Warne goes, he informed a tabloid that this was a rumor, and he is yet to get a call from Derby County about the appointment. A friend had dropped in a congratulatory note, and he responded to that as news.
Some fans, however, said they were looking for a permanent manager. A fan suggested that Liam is a good coach, but Paul Warne would be a fantastic manager if that happens.
When the club was sent for relegation, Wayne Rooney had left Derby County three months ago. Wayne, at that time, felt he wanted to stay on ad manager and bring up the club, but it all depended on a takeover plan. Since the takeover didn’t happen, Wayne left to join the Washington DC-based United DC, which is a part of Major League Soccer in the USA.
Warne, in the meantime, has another year of his contract left with Rotherham and sources claim that the owner and Chairman Tony Stewart have plans to extend his current contract. It seems Derby County has shown willingness to pay compensation for the contract for Paul Warne to Rotherham United.
