Since the release of the first edition, Demon Slayer’s [popularity has only magnified. In 2020, just a little more than five years after the manga debuted in February 2016, the franchise reportedly produced more than $8.75 billion in sales revenue. Demon Slayer is also one of the highest-grossing media franchises in history.

Even the movie, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, broke Studio Ghibli’s Japan box office record and became the country’s highest-grossing film.

For Netflix users, the long wait for Demon Slayer Season 2 has ended though the second season premiered on Crunchyroll in 2021 and it ended only in February 2022. Moreover, while the Demon Slayer Season 1 finale was broadcast on September 28, 2019, it was not on Netflix until almost 16 months later and finally arrived on January 22, 2021.



Demon Slayer Season 2, consisting of all 18 episodes will arrive on Netflix on January 21, 2023.
