The plane was a Boeing 737 which had 62 passengers and six crew members. The plane landed safely in Austin about an hour after the wing flap detached. Delta flight safety issue

The wing flap is important for take-off and landing, making this a serious safety concern. Passenger Shanila Arif, who recorded the video, said passengers first thought it was turbulence as the plane shook. She said, “The lady in front of us opened the window and told us it was broken. I opened the window and got scared”, as per CNN report.
