Deborah Anne James, Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE), bid adieu to the world on Tuesday at 40
Deborah James, an active campaigner who raised millions for cancer research and the one who never stopped living an optimistic life, died at the age of forty after fighting for years against bowel cancer.

James had a BBC podcast with the name “You, Me and the Big C.” She started it with two other cancer patients in 2018. The emphasis of her podcast show was a lifestyle with bowel cancer. She created ‘Bowelbabe Fund’ for cancer research and clinical trials for medicines and to get financial support for campaigns about bowel cancer. Having an initial target of 250,000 pounds, the fund has, till date, raised nearly 7 million pounds ($8.5 million).
