Deadpool 3 from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will have a mid-2024 release, but the buzz is already building up for the third film in the franchise.

Actor Ryan Reynolds will return as Deadpool, and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, among some other new and returning characters. Here’s all you need to know about Deadpool 3.

Deadpool 3: release date

Deadpool 3 is releasing on May 3, 2024. Its original release date was September 6 and then November 8. Deadpool 3 will be one of the first movies in Phase Six of the MCU.

Deadpool 3: New and Returning cast

Deadpool 3 will certainly have Ryan Reynolds returning in and as Deadpool. However, this will be Ryan Reynolds’ last film as the Marvel character!

Actor Morena Baccarin is also confirmed to reprise her role as Wade Wilson’s wife Vanessa in Deadpool 1 and 2.

But the surprise is that actor Hugh Jackman will make a comeback as the much loved Wolverine! What’s more, Rob Delaney will be returning as X-Force member Peter, reports Deadline.

Actor Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams are returning as Dopinder and Blind Al, so is Stefan Kapicic as Colossus. Other returning actors include Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio.
Actor Josh Brolin may return as Cable, but Zazie Beetz will not be returning as Domino. Marvel source Daniel Richtman has reported that Owen Wilson as Mobius will have a “big role” in Deadpool 3.

Deadpool 3 has just added The Crown actor Emma Corrin to the cast, and as a villain! The film could also have some new characters from among the X-Men.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that actor Matthew Macfadyen of Succession fame has also been cast in Deadpool 3.

According to Ryan Reynolds, who is also writing Deadpool 3, the Marvel Studios’s film is “looking to go in a completely different direction”. The reason being that “often they reboot or change a character maybe like four movies too late.”

Since Deadpool 2 had time-travel, the third part could also have that.

No official trailer or teaser has been released so far of Deadpool 3. The film is still in the writing and creation stage, as revealed by Ryan Reynolds to SiriusXM at the end of last year.
