Strikes postpone ‘De Niro Con’
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Tribeca Festival said that the plan has been postponed “in consideration of the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.” It said in a statement that “De Niro Con will now take place in April 2024.”

SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes impact
Earlier, the Emmy 2023 was rescheduled due to the separate strikes of SAG-AFTRA and WGA. The SAG-AFTRA strike rules make it clear that actors cannot promote any past work done in contract with studios and streamers, which are members of the AMPTP.
Film Festivals during SAG-AFTRA strike
Meanwhile, the Film Academy has announced to go ahead with the Academy Music Gala 2023 fundraiser. Similarly, film festivals will be held in Venice, New York, Telluride, and Toronto and they are expected to premiere many films.
Earlier, Tribeca Festival planned to hold seminars, panel discussions, musical performances, and the creation of iconic film sets besides screening of the movies. Now, it will be held in April next year. The prices of the passes for the festival range from $150 to $3,500.
