Daughter of President Vladimir Putin's spiritual guide killed in car bomb explosion in Russia
Darya Dugina was killed in a car explosion while returning from a literature festival in the Moscow region. Darya was the daughter of Alexander Dugin, the philosopher and ideologue touted to be Russian President Vladimir Putin's spiritual guide.

Head of Russian Gorizont, Andrei Krasnov, has confirmed Darya's assassination. He stated that 30-year-old was killed in a fire caused due to the explosion when she turned towards Bolshiye Vyazemim, a small village in the Moscow region. Unconfirmed images of the explosion's aftermath have been circulating on Russian social media.
Krasnov has confirmed that the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado car belonged to Darya's father, though she usually drove her car.
Krasnov also claimed that Alexander Dugin was the actual target of the explosion, or it could be both Darya and Alexander. Like her father, Darya was also a vocal supporter of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The US Department of Treasury imposed sanctions on Darya for stating in an article on United World International's website that Ukraine would perish if it became a member of NATO. Darya was the editor-in-chief of UWI.
Alexander Dugin is a famous Russian far-right ideologue and author, widely credited for being the spiritual guide to Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine. Often described as Putin's brain, Alexander is allegedly one of the most influential individuals in Russia and Eastern Europe.
His daughter, Darya, also studied Philosophy at the Moscow State University and was known for walking in her father's footsteps.
As per the media, Alexander was right behind her daughter and saw the explosion. Media sources have said that the ideologue was himself to be in the Prado, but a last-minute schedule change led him to take another car.
Following the explosion, Denis Pushilin, leader of Ukraine's occupied city of Donetsk, blamed the Ukraine regime for the attack. Pushilin claimed that the "terrorist regime" wanted to kill Alexander but killed his daughter.
