Dan Da Dan is set to launch on October 3, 2024. Netflix confirmed the global release date on March 10 through social media. The show will be released in Japan on the same day and will air on MBS. Netflix holds global streaming rights for the anime. However, Crunchyroll also announced that it would stream the show in select regions alongside Netflix.

Plot

The anime tells the story of Momo, a high school student from a family of spirit mediums, and Okarun, her classmate and an occult enthusiast. They both hold opposing beliefs about the paranormal. Momo believes in ghosts but denies the existence of aliens, while Okarun believes in aliens but not ghosts.

To settle their disagreement, Momo and Okarun decide to investigate separate locations: an abandoned hospital rumored to have UFO sightings and a haunted tunnel. To their surprise, they both encounter real paranormal phenomena. Momo discovers her hidden powers, while Okarun gains the power of a curse.

Creative Team

The anime is directed by Fuga Yamashiro, with series composition by Hiroshi Seko. Kensuke Ushio is responsible for the music, while Naoyuki Onda handles character design. Creature design is led by Yoshimichi Kameda.
