Law enforcement personnel gather outside the Fairview, Texas home of Joshua Jahn, the suspected gunman in a fatal shooting that took place earlier in the day at an ICE field office, in Dallas, Texas, US.
As the probe into the Dallas ICE facility shooting incident continues, investigators have found what they believe to be the vehicle of the shooting suspect, Joshua Jahn. According to reports, it was a Toyota car carrying a map depicting radioactive fallout in the US affixed to the right rear quarter panel.

According to CNN, there was a heavy deployment of law enforcement officials at the building at the time when authorities searched the car, which carried a Texas plate. On the side of the car was a sign displaying a map of the United States with the wording “Radioactive fallout from nuclear detonations have [sic] passed over these areas more than 2x since 1951.

The car was cleared by the local bomb squad and other investigators before they started their search, CNN reported, citing a law enforcement source familiar with the ongoing investigation. There was no immediate comment from officials suggesting any link between the vehicle and the shooting investigation.

The New York Post reported that the image looked like a map created by researcher Richard Miller, which shows areas of the US over which two or more radioactive clouds have crossed, resulting from nuclear testing in Nevada between 1951 and 1962.

Joshua Jahn, 29, the shooting suspect opened fire with a rifle from a nearby roof onto a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement located in Dallas on Wednesday (September 24, 2025), killing one detainee and wounding two others in a transport van before taking his own life, authorities said.

The exact motivation for the attack was not immediately known. FBI Director Kash Patel posted a photo on social media showing a bullet found at the scene with “ANTI-ICE” written on it.

The attack is the latest public, targeted killing in the U.S., coming two weeks after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was killed by a rifle-wielding shooter and as heightened immigration enforcement has prompted backlash against ICE agents and fear in immigrant communities.
