However, in the recent past, the siblings are said to have developed an estranged relationship. In an exclusive interview with The Independent, Daisy May Cooper revealed that her relationship with Charlie had suffered. The ‘Rain Dogs’ star went on to blame the fame both of them received along with them growing up. It is to note that Daisy is a mother of two and Charlie recently became a father.
In the interview, Daisy recalled the “hard” reality of them not talking to each other “for long periods of time” even though both were “so close” previously. She also noted that she and her brother Charlie were “in it together through thick and thin” to suddenly develop a distance between themselves.
Opening up, Daisy said that the situation with her brother has made her “question a lot of things about who I am and what I want” while also thinking what actually makes her happy. According to her, people come along with their own agendas until that “separates” them and is “horrible”.
Remarkably, Daisy and Charlie lived in poverty together for several years before ‘This Country’ was rolled out. In another interview, she also talked about her “phobia” of phones due to her experience with debt collectors. She also said that she does not own a mobile phone because everytime her phone rang, she thought it was “bad news”.
